The Kharkov state academy of design and arts
is one of the oldest art educational institutions of Ukraine and the countries of the CIS.

The educational institution was formed in 1921
on the basis of art school which, in turn, was open in 1912 on the basis of art school,
by based M.D.Raevska-Ivanova in 1869.

Since 1963 the Kharkov state art institute was reorganized in Art-industrial institute.
August, 9, 2001 the order of the Cabinet of Ukraine on the basis of the Kharkov art - industrial institute created the Kharkov state academy of design and arts of IV level of accreditation (KSADA).



The academy has accepted the first foreign students on study
in 1989.
Our Academy is the only thing from Ukraine a member of the European League of High SCHOOLS of arts.
The academy has creative, educational and scientific communications with high schools of Poland, China, Germany, Russia and aspires to expand this cooperation further.

The basic contingent of foreign students of academy are students of the countries of the CIS:
Russia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Georgia etc.,
Near and the Far East, Africa, China, Iran, Vietnam, Cameroon, Bahrein etc.

All divisions of academy take part in preparation of foreign students, including employees
a department of the international relations.



Acquaintance of foreign citizens to academy, city, the country begins with a department of the international relations.

Employees of a department provide the passport and visa control, contact of students - foreigners to medical institutions
Kharkov, insurance companies.
Employees of a department are engaged in their settlement in a hostel, provide communication with relatives, embassies.

In a department of the international relations the initial documentation
(questionnaires, a card of the student, registration form "ÓÃÈÐÔË ÓÌÂÄ" of Ukraine in the Kharkov area) is made out.
In a department of the international relations private affairs of foreign citizens are conducted, necessary information, documents on reception of education with their subsequent legalization
in The Ministry of Education and Sciences and
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine are made out and given out.
