Copenhagen Business School

Copenhagen Business School, also known as CBS, is situated in Copenhagen, Denmark. With more than 17,000 students and 1,300 staff members, CBS is also one of the largest business schools in Europe. CBS offers a wide range of business-oriented university programmes, and a research environment.

CBS's most senior executive is the President who is appointed by a Governing Board composed of a majority of external members.

CBS was established in 1917 by the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education (now known as FUHU), which is a private educational institution. In 1965 the business school became integrated as an institution of higher education in the Danish education system. Today it is regulated by the Danish Universities Act of 2003.

CBS aims to:
· contribute to the creation of value in society and in enterprises
· train master's graduates who are competitive in an international labour market
· develop research-based knowledge in cooperation with the business community.

Strategically, CBS primarily focuses on three focal areas:
· Internationalisation
· Partnership with the business community
· The Learning University.

CBS is an international school, focused on developing strong links between contemporary research and the active business community. The atmosphere is intellectual, but always in a way that keeps business realities firmly in focus.

CBS was established in 1917 and became integrated as an institution of higher education in the Danish education system in 1965. Today CBS is regulated by the Danish Universities Act 2003 under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
