Konnov & Sozanovsky advised Caterpillar Financial Ukraine LLC

In 2012 associates of Konnov & Sozanovsky attorneys at law provided legal support for Caterpillar Financial Ukraine LLC in a judicial dispute against the taxation agency in the Holosiivsky district of Kiev. A disputed issue was the reduction of the company’s expenses by the tax agency, since the company included negative amounts to Q2 2011 expenses. The amounts were generated as of 1 January 2010 during 2010 and in previous years. During the litigation associates of Konnov & Sozanovsky managed to prove that the decision of the tax agency was unlawful and to ensure that the client had the right to show expenses in the amount exceeding UAH 35 million. The court decision on the dispute came into effect on 12 September 2012.
