After receiving the card
- open the envelope containing the PIN-code, memorize the PIN-code and destroy the contents of the envelope. Do not write your PIN-code on the card and do not store it together with the card;
- write down your card number and the phone to call if the card is lost (stolen) or if any questions arise. Do not store these notes together with your card.
General rules
- never tell your PIN-code to anybody. Only you may know your PIN-code. Nobody is entitled to require it from you: neither bank employees, nor ATM staff, a shop cashier or investigator. The only exception is PIN-code input directly in the shop POS-terminal (as a rule, on chip cards and Cirrus/Maestro cards), you need to input your PIN-code on your own;
- never give your card for use to any other person. If you need to assign your card to another person urgently, execute a power of attorney for payment card use (do not tell your PIN code). Please apply for an additional card for long-term use of your card account. You may find information on the additional card here;
- do not leave your card unattended, especially in trade outlets, restaurants, shops, etc.;
- if the card is lost or stolen, immediately notify of this by phone: 0 (44) 201-16-17 (in Kyiv), 0-800-500-450 (free in Ukraine from fixed-line phones). Details see here;
- while withdrawing cash from ATMs, be sure that nobody watches you entering your PIN code.
