COMMITTEE OF VOTERS OF UKRAINE SUMMARIZED THE 2011 ADMISSION CAMPAIGN AL TESTING
On August 15th the all-Ukrainian community organization, Committee of Voters of Ukraine (CVU), made its final conclusions on the 2011 HEI Admission Campaign. They published the results of community monitoring conducted during the HEI admission campaign in 2011 by the community campaign For Fair Admissions 2011, which is supported by the International Renaissance Foundation. Minister D. Tabachnyk on HEIs: They aren’t Kiosk’s that can Simply be Closed
“Nearly 20 establishments of higher education (HEIs) were left without applications from potential freshmen. Furthermore, about 30 HEIs received between 1 and 10 applications and an additional 30 received fewer than 100 applications. The Chancellors of these HEIs wanted to change the rules of Admission mid process—to extend the admission campaign. But we will not allow this. read more

MoESYS Demands HEI Chancellors Uphold the Rules of Admission
HEI Chancellors should uphold all the conditions spelled out in the Rules of Admissions to establishments of higher education (HEIs). The IA World of Education reports that letter #1/9-599, dated August 8, 2011, emphasizing this fact was signed by Dmytro Tabachnyk, Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports and was sent to all Ukrainian HEI Chancellors. read more

August 8th—the Ranking Lists, 3rd Revision
The IA World of Education announced that today, August 8th, Ukraine’s establishments of higher education (HEIs) are required to publicize newly revised lists of individuals being offered admissions. Applicants who were included in the previous lists, but did not submit their original documents by August 6-7th, will no longer be included. The final ranking list for students applying for the traditional form of education will be publicized on August 10th. read more
