ANK and Hodge Jones & Allen LLP succeed in compensation claim over prison death of Ukrainian citizen

In 2006 Ukrainian citizen Alexey Baranovskiy died in the London prison HMP Rye Hill due to negligence on the part of prison officers and medical staff.

ANK, acting on behalf of relatives of the deceased, initiated litigation in the Central London County Court with the aim of receiving adequate compensation for the death of the Ukrainian citizen. Direct representation was provided by Hodge Jones & Allen law firm.

As a result of court proceedings, which lasted more than 2 years, lawyers made for delivering of a positive decision in the case when the family of the deceased received the monetary compensation in the sum of more than GBP 20,000.

The maintenance of litigation was carried out by both law firms in accordance with the policy of corporate social responsibility of both law firms.
