Legal Issues
Legal protection of author members’ interests is one of the top priority tasks for the entire UACRR and for our Legal Department in particular. Main task for the Department is creation of respective legal basis for the activity of the Agency. Consultation for authors and users of copyrighted objects concerning system of IP protection in Ukraine and interpretation of the relevant legislation are one of the main objectives of the Legal Department as well. Moreover, Legal Department takes appropriate measures in case of authors’ rights infringement, including bringing suits against infringers. It is significant to notice that usually UACRR succeeds in settling disputes by means of negotiations.
