ELEKS Wins a Microsoft Partner of the Year Award

On December 16, 2008 ELEKS Software was announced among the 20 winners of the 2008 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards in Kyiv, Ukraine. All in all, award-winners were chosen out of 1300 Microsoft partners in Ukraine and honored in 20 nominations representing business achievements in promoting different tools and products of Microsoft.
ELEKS Software has won the prestigious award and become the best company in the nomination “For the contribution to the development of the market of software solutions based on the Microsoft platform”. ELEKS has once again demonstrated its outstanding capability of creating software solutions which use the possibilities of Microsoft advanced products and technologies to a maximum extent. As Oleksiy Skrypnyk, Director and CEO at ELEKS Software said, “the partnership with Microsoft Corporation opened to us entirely new possibilities for business growth and allowed to deliver the most innovative software solutions to our customers.”

Meet ELEKS at the 2nd International Conference on Telemedicine in Lviv, Ukraine

ELEKS Software Ltd., a leading Ukrainian IT service and consulting company, is pleased to announce its participation in the 2nd International Conference “Telemedicine: Myths and Reality” that will be held on October 23-24, 2008 at Dnister Hotel in Lviv, Ukraine. As an official sponsor of the conference, ELEKS will be a party in discussions within the framework of this major event as the company’s top manager, CEO, Oleksiy Skrypnyk, Jr, who will deliver a speech entitled “Hospital Information Systems in Ukraine: Issues of Implementation and Future” on the second day of the conference. ELEKS Participates in International Software Development Summit in Saint Petersburg

This year’s Summit, which is traditionally organized by RUSSOFT, a non-commercial association of CIS software companies, and Fort Ross, a leading Russian marketing agency, together with their partners AT Software, Nokia Forum, Microsoft, D-Link, and some others, focused on establishing the place of Russian IT industry in the globalization process. The Summit opened with a plenary speech by Ilya Ponomarev, Chairman of the Technologies Sub-commission of State Duma, which covered innovative legislation to be enforced by the State in order to create favorable conditions for the development of IT business.
The two-day Summit offered a highly eventful agenda comprising plenary sessions, round table discussions, master classes, trainings, and B2B meetings. Among Summit participants there were top managers of the leading software companies, including Microsoft Russia Economy Lead, Luxoft Vice-president, Exigen Services EE President, AT Software board member, LISA Director, and many others. ELEKS Software representatives CEO Oleksiy Skrypnyk and COO Ruslan Zakharchenko had a chance to learn and analyze their colleagues’ experience in maintaining company’s turnover despite the increasing competition in IT sector, participate in trainings on attracting investments at early project stages as well as master classes dedicated to agile approaches to software development, promotion of in-house software products, and effective team management.

The Second QAMT- Ukraine Conference Took Place in Kyiv

A group of lead test engineers from ELEKS Software Ltd took part in the International Conference “Quality Assurance: Management & Technologies (QAMT Ukraine – Spring 2008)” that was held in Kyiv on May 23-24, 2008. The forum was initiated by Software Quality Center AlphATesT. It was their second attempt to organize a specialized Quality Assurance, QA outsourcing, and QA management conference in Ukraine.
The topics that raised most interest among our participants included certification programs for testers, CMMI certification processes and practices, as well as examples of practical quality assurance cases. Even more important was an opportunity to network and discuss common challenges and aspirations with colleagues from other cities and countries. This time the conference hosted participants from Ukraine, Poland, and India.

On February 15, 2008, ELEKS Software celebrated its second anniversary as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Now we are proud to notify our partners and customers that ELEKS has succeeded in re-confirming this status for a new partnership year with two major Microsoft competencies: ISV/Software Solutions and Custom Development Solutions (Web specialization).
The ISV/Software Solutions competency was designed by Microsoft for technology partners with proven expertise in developing and marketing packaged software applications based on Microsoft technologies. This competency was granted to ELEKS for its Medical Information System “Doctor Eleks” that had been successfully installed in several medical institutions of Ukraine.

ELEKS Registers a Copyright for its MIS “Doctor Eleks”

On February 1, 2008, ELEKS Software got an official certificate of copyright registration from the State Department of Intellectual Property of Ukraine for its Medical Information System “Doctor Eleks.” This means that the product copyright is now explicitly laid out, so that any attempts to infringe upon it will be considered illegal. The official registration of a copyright in the public record provides system users with better assurance of the product authenticity, thus protecting them from the use of any illegal copies of the system.
