15 December 2010, Kyiv: During her four-day visit to Ukraine on 11-15 December UNDP Administrator Helen Clark discussed with Ukrainian government representatives, donor community, academia and civil society organizations the challenges Ukraine is facing on its way to achieving the Millennium Development Goals and corresponding priorities in the next United Nations Partnership Framework that spells out cooperation between Ukraine and the United Nations in Ukraine for the 2012-2016 years.

Leaders of women’s rights organizations discuss Ukraine’s gender problems with UN Development Chief
15 December 2010, Kyiv: UNDP Administrator met with leaders of the civil society women’s organizations during her visit to Ukraine. Participants of the meeting informed Ms. Helen Clark on gender gaps in Ukraine which have not been eliminated during the last 10 years despite the changes in the political and economic situation in the country. Representatives of civil society organizations handed over a letter to Ms. Clark in which they have raised their concern on the impact of the recent public administration reform on the national gender and asked Administrator’s support for their work on the advancement of women in Ukraine.
