About the Bank

Raiffeisen Bank Aval Public Joint Stock Company was registered on March 27, 1992 (operated under the brand name of Joint Stock Postal Pension Bank Aval until September 25, 2006). Since October 2005, the Bank has been part of the Raiffeisen International Bank Holding AG Group (Since October 2010 – Raiffeisen Bank International as of January 1, 2010 the Group held 96.17% of shares in the Bank).

The Bank provides a broad range of standard and innovative banking services through its nationwide network which comprised, as of January 1, 2010, 953 outlets located in big cities, provincial and community centers and villages throughout Ukraine.

The Bank has an effective management structure, based on a clear division into business lines and supporting verticals (information technologies, operation support, controlling, security and other) both in the Bank’s Head-office and regional directorates. As a truly international bank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval clearly separates front-office functions from back-office ones to achieve higher quality of client service and enhance risk mitigation.

Traditionally, Raiffeisen Bank Aval is ranked among top Ukrainian banks by trust and recognition of clients, partners and experts, both Ukrainian and international. Raiffeisen Bank Aval's leadership position was acknowledged last year by numerous ratings and surveys.

In particular, Raiffeisen Bank Aval was named Ukraine's best company in the banking and financial sector in 2009 by the world-renowned Euromoney magazine (UK).

The Ukrainian business weekly Companion recognized the Bank as the most reputable company of Ukraine in 2009. The Bank became the only financial institution among top ten companies of various industries nominated to this award.

According to the regular survey on the image of Ukraine’s largest banks conducted by GfK Ukraine, the Bank has been repeatedly mentioned among the highest ranked institutions. Based on the results of the survey, clients are more inclined to honor the Bank’s reliability, its many-year operation in the market and high skills of its staff.

Programs and services offered by the Bank were also recognized among the best at the market. In particular, as a result of the international festival competition The Choice of the Year, the Bank’s deposit program for individuals has been awarded as the best program for a third consecutive year.

Raiffeisen Bank Aval was recognized as the best bank for corporate business by results of the First National Competition Bank of the Year 2009 conducted by The Banker magazine. The Bank was also mentioned as the most attractive Ukraine’s bank for corporate clients based on a survey of banking services for large corporate clients made by GfK Ukraine. Among others, Raiffeisen Bank Aval also received the Grand Prize in Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2009 in the private banking nomination.

The Kyiv Post weekly, as a result of a survey among its readers, repeatedly named Raiffeisen Bank Aval the best bank in the capital city in 2009. The Bank's regional directorates were also named as best at the regional level.
