IT events in Ukraine. April 2008

Kiev, Ukraine – April 25, 2008 – Every year Ukrainian IT branch increases its growth rate, thereby becoming more and more attractive for investors and potential customers, – this is indicated by holding 2 profile events in Kiev in the end of April 2008 – TMT Ventures’08 (17-th April 2008) and Annual IT Directors Association Congress (18-20 April 2008).

The target of the first event is to demonstrate favorable investment potential in general and rich possibilities of investing in Ukrainian IT projects especially. There were conducted debates on profile subjects (investments, information technologies, IT novelties, etc.) during the conference. Leading Ukrainian and European specialists took part in them. IT projects Investment contest “7 Minutes” for young and talented IT entrepreneurs was conducted in the network of the conference as well. Presentation of each project lasted for extremely short time – 7 minutes! During this time participants had to present their ideas and product developments to experienced jury and investors. The projects of different IT solutions – “Internet and mobile services”, “Multimedia”, “Offline and Online technologies (geopositioning and navigation services)” – were declared as winners.

The second one of these events has already become a tradition and is held annually by Pan-Ukrainian public organization “Association of IT Directors of Ukraine” with the purpose of experience exchange between leading IT specialists and familiarization with the newest technologies in enterprise management. During the Congress specialists could acquire useful information from reports on the following subjects: “How to build an effective IT Department”, “Practice of IT services management and sales”, “Some experience of ERP system application”, etc. The participants could also take part in specialized discussions and conferences, and had a chance of the immediate communication with IT solutions suppliers as well.

Holding such conferences and meetings reflects high level and development dynamics of information technologies in Ukraine, favorable investment potential, high quality of program solutions by Ukrainian IT specialists. And this, for its turn, is highly conductive for strong links startup between foreign partners and customers and Ukrainian software development companies.
