Admission Requirements

PSTU enrolls foreign citizens on the basis of a License for Providing Educational Services, Series AB No.420807 issued on October 5 in 2008 by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The foreign citizens are enrolled in accordance with Ukraine’s international agreements, as well as inter-state programs, contracts signed with juridical and other entities, as well as by direct applications of the foreign citizens.
The applicants must have basic general secondary education. Foreign citizens who studied in higher educational institutions abroad are enrolled at PSTU on submission of the certificates of the educational and qualification level they have obtained (based on evaluation of their documents). Those foreign citizens who hold university degrees and have demonstrated willingness and aptitude for research and scientific work may join the postgraduate and doctorate programs offered by the University.
In compliance with Regulation on Education of Foreigners and Stateless Persons in Ukraine 1238 of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 5 Sept, 1998 foreign citizens must submit the following application package:

  • an application form of the established format;
  • a copy of the certificate of education with listed subjects and examination grades;
  • results of the AID test certified in Ukraine;
  • medical certificate duly certified by an official health care institution of the mother country and issued not later than 2 months prior to entering Ukraine;
  • medical insurance for emergency aid (except the citizens of the countries with whom Ukraine signed the agreement on free medical service);
  • a copy of Birth Certificate;
  • 6 photos (6cmx4cm)
  • a return ticket with an open date;
  • passport

The documents indicated in b) d) f) must be certified in compliance with the existing laws and regulations of the countries who are issuing them and legalized in due order, unless specified otherwise by international agreements of Ukraine.

Entering Ukraine with the aim of obtaining education is allowed within the period of 15 August – 15 November every year.

All foreign citizens who study at higher institutions of Ukraine must pay tuition fees, unless specified otherwise by international agreements of Ukraine or by the existing law.

Tuition, accommodation fees and other payments in 2010-2011 academic year amounted to:

  • Tuition fee at preparatory department is $1,200 US per year;
  • Tuition fee at PSTU facultes $1,500 US - $2,000 US per year depending on the academic area;
  • Accommodation in PSTU dormitory $300 US per year (in a room for two persons).
  • Issuing invitation for studies, registration, medical insurance, visa support, and meeting at an airport of a (one) foreign citizen $150 US.

PSTU does not offer stipends or grants to international students unless specified by international agreements.
