The purpose of the Centre is elaboration and implementation of research-to-practice projects and complex programs in the sphere of political management.

The basic statutory goals of Ukrainian Centre for Political Management are the increase of political culture level, promotion of practical implementation of  nation-wide, regional and local programs directed on the improvement of economic and social situation and assistance in the development of information infrastructure.

For the purpose of political management promotion in Ukraine, the Centre has established the following periodicals - "Political management" (specialized edition on political and historical sciences) and "Social psychology" (specialized edition on sociological, psychological and philosophical sciences). The Centre is also a co-founder of the scientific collection "Modern Ukrainian Politics" (specialized edition on political and philosophical sciences).   The Centre publishes and distributes research and information literature.

Promotes: - increase of political culture level - development of information infrastructure - introduction of social technologies

Develops and implements: - research projects - cultural and educational programs

Carries out: - opinion surveys - socially-psychological researches

Prepares for publishing and produces: - scientific journals "Political management", "Social psychology" - reference, study materials

Runs and holds: - research-to-practice conferences - workshops, meetings, round-table conferences - public hearing

In 2001, Ukrainian Centre of Political Management became the nominee of the National "Golden Book of Ukrainian Elite" Project.

Ukrainian Centre of Political Management is a collective member of the Sociological Association of Ukraine and a co-founder of the Ukrainian Sociological Service.

The Centre is looking to cooperate with political scientists, sociologists, psychologists, journalists and all those interested in political governance.

Symbolism (distinguishing mark) of Ukrainian Centre of Political Management is registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on February 15, 2002 Registration Certificate Number 443

The symbol of Ukrainian charitable organization "Ukrainian Centre of Political Management” is a distinctive mark. The Distinctive mark is used in two ways.

The symbolically-rendered Greek letter "psi" in silver color against a black square is depicted. Inscription "Ukrainian Centre of Political Management" in black letters is made as follows: the word "Ukrainian" - along the left side of the square; the word "center" – atop of upper side of the square; the word "political" - underneath the square; the word "management" - along the right-hand side of the square.

The symbolically-rendered Greek letter "psi" in silver color against the black square is depicted. The square contour is enframed with a silver line on three of its sides. The fourth (upper) square side is framed by a line in silver color leftward before the beginning of the letter "psi". The inscription "Ukrainian Centre of Political Management" is made in black letters on the right-hand side of the  composition.

Why should the Centre pick on the Hedgehog? - Because it has a good image. On the one hand - it is sober, industrious, wise and good, on the other - its thorns still worth something ... Moreover, the authors of a mascot wanted to remind everyone, that politics is a part of our everyday life, full of emotions and hope for the best.

On October 9, 2003 the Centre’s mascot - Hedgehog – was registered by Ukrainian institute of industrial property as a mark for goods and services in Ukraine. Here is The list of goods, relating to which the trademark "Hedgehog" is claimed according to International Classification of Goods and Services.
