As an independent Swiss family business, Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M), Wetzikon (Switzerland), has gained more than forty years of experience in the information and communication technology market. The firm, which was founded in 1964, concentrates on the development and manufacture of future-oriented passive cabling solutions for communication networks (Layer 1). Outstanding products in the copper and fiber optics sector have earned R&M a reputation as a leader in quality who always offers added value. R&M solutions set the standard for modularity as well as ease of installation and maintenance.
In Switzerland R&M has secured the position of market leader. It is present in many other countries with its own subsidiaries and agencies known as MOs, or Market Organizations. Qualified sales partners look after customers in many other countries around the world. 75% of R&M’s turnover (CHF 241 million in 2007, up 23% on the previous year) comes from sales abroad, and the trend is upwards. EBIT was 13% of turnover.
The company’s innovative drive is reflected in its R&D quota. Each year R&M invests more than CHF 7 million in research and development. Today R&M achieves 20% of its turnover with products that are less than three years old. The company is the holder of many patents. For the most part, development work revolves around specific new customer requirements.
The firm’s specific experience and competence lie in the manufacture of connection and distribution technology for copper and fiber optics networks. Based on these technologies R&M has focused its efforts on four business units: Carrier, Enterprise, Industrial and Residential Cabling. Historically, R&M is at home in the Carrier market. Today the company supplies to the many WAN and MAN operators, traditional national and international telecom companies, Citycarrier and railway companies. Tailor-made solutions for collocation, connectivity, maximum operational reliability and Fiber to the Building are as much the focal point here as in the three other segments.
Enterprise Cabling is aimed at high-quality, future-oriented and security-relevant cabling systems and enables voice, data and video integration, Fiber to the Desk, and building automation. In Industrial Cabling R&M develops solutions for tough requirements imposed on connection and distributor technology. They include resistance to mechanical stresses and protection against environmental influences. In the area of Residential Cabling R&M offers user-friendly solutions for residential, home office and workplace environments, fulfilling network and multimedia requirements with compact systems.
R&M belongs to the top 500 companies in Switzerland and is one of the fastest growing enterprises in the country. The company is continually creating new jobs and currently employs more than 650 people. The company is fully owned by the Reichle family. Together with Hans-Peter Legler (COO) and Martin Gasser (CFO), Martin and Peter Reichle (as CEO and COO respectively) manage the dynamic company’s affairs in its second generation. They guarantee the steady further development of the innovative product range, with the claim to satisfy the highest quality criteria.
The company R&M started its work in Ukraine in 1995 when the national Ukrainian quality certificates for the all R&M solutions were received. In April 1997 the daughter enterprise Reichle & De-Massari Ukraine was founded with its office in Kiev.
Since then more than 100 companies became R&M certified partners in Ukraine. Among R&M UA customers are the large state and commercial companies like Ukraine Railway, Ukrtelecom, National joint-stock company NAFTOGAZ of Ukraine, State Tax Inspectorate, National Bank of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Cabinet Ministry of Ukraine, The Presidential Administration, "Ukrainian Court of Appeal, Ukrainian Pension Fund, Antonov ASTC, Boryspil International Airport, national manufacturers of switching equipments JSC FARLEP, Dniprovsky Machine-Building Plant and others.
The company Reichle & De-Massari Ukraine was the leading vendor in Ukrainian SCS segment. Because of dynamic development of the Ukrainian IT-market in 2006 there was the re-branding of the company. These changes were the company’s reaction to the situation on IT-market. R&M UA decided to extend the business to be more client-oriented to its partners. Since the beginning of 2007 the company has been working under the name - Synergia.
Since the beginning of 2007 the company Synergia SE is the exclusive distributor of R&M solutions in Ukraine.
