On 27 January 2011 at the premises of Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine the first meeting of Inter-agency Working Group on Developing of Draft Law of Ukraine „On State Aid to Business Entities” took place.

The meeting was opened by First Deputy Head of Antimonopoly Committee Mr Yurii Kravchenko.

On January 27, 2011 at the National Bank of Ukraine the 4^th Steering Committee of Twinning Project "Strengthening NBU potential through the approximation to EU standards of central banking" was held. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the project implementation during the 4^th quarter, covering the period from 22 September till 22 December, 2010.

Among the participants were John Bateson, Second Secretary Political of British Embassy Kyiv, Policy Delivery Team, Svitlana Yavorska, Head of Projects Section, British Embassy Kyiv, Andy McFarlin, regional operations manager and head of visa section of British Embassy Moscow, Ann Williams, assistant director visa policy, international policy of UK Border Agency and Nataliya Kyrychenko, Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union.

The aim of the meeting was BA consulting on the next stages of Twinning project documentation preparation, discussion and solving different problematic issues and planning of next steps on Twinning projects preparation.

On 24 January 2011 at the premises of Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine the seminar “State Aid Monitoring and Control System in the EU Countries: Experience for Ukraine in the Context of Institution Bbuilding” took place. The seminar was held within the frame of Institution Reform Plan (IRP) in the sphere of state aid. The event was organised by Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine with support of British Embassy in Kyiv.

On 19 January 2011 at the premises of Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine a Steering Committee meeting of Twinning project for State Committee of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine “Support for the Ukrainian Veterinary Services in Enhancing the Legal and Technical Aspects of Food Safety Control System” took place.

On 17 January 2011 at the premises of Building of Government a working meeting headed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine on reformation of public authorities in the sphere of food safety took place.

The meeting was held by Andriy Vyshnevskiy, Deputy Head of the Main Civil Service Department. From the Ukrainian side the event was attended by Olga Gorunenko, Head of the Unit for Training Activities and International Cooperation of School of Senior Civil Service, Yevhen Nihay, Head of the Unit for International Development Projects and European Integration of the Main Civil Service Department and Dmytro Chypryna, Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the EU Standards. Project Director, “Technical support to Public Sector in Ukraine, Phase 2”, Peter Korsby, Team Leader and Baiba Petersone, Key Expert of the project. From the Danish side the event was attended by Morten Olesen.
