Press Conference: How to Secure Fair Admissions to HEIs in 2011?

On September 23rd, at noon a press conference entitled How to Secure Fair Admissions to HEIs in 2011 will be held at the Ukrayins’ki Novyny (Ukrainian News) information agency’s press center. 

During the press conference participants will publicize the results of civic analysis of the Rules of Admissions to HEIs for 2011 from the Ministry of Education (MoE).  Civic organizations of Ukraine have prepared concrete proposals which will help hopeful freshmen apply to establishments of higher education (HEIs) next year without having to give bribes. 

The 25th of September is the last day of civic discussion on the new Rules of Admission.  After this date the MoE will begin drafting the order on the Rules of the 2011 admission campaign. 

Participants of the press conference will include: 

Pavlo Polyans’kyy, Director of the Center for Educational Monitoring; Mykola Kuzin, Coordinator of Educational Projects for the civic network OPORA; Natalya Lynnyk, Projects Director for the Committee of Voters of Ukraine.
