Electronic System for Travel Authorization
Modernizing the Visa Waiver Program
Effective January 12, 2009, Visa Waiver Program (VWP) travelers will be required to obtain a travel authorization via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to boarding a carrier to travel by air or sea to the U.S. under the VWP. ESTA is now accessible online at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov for citizens and eligible nationals of VWP countries.
This modern system enhances the security of the VWP and will allow the U.S. government to continue and expand the VWP, which allows visitors from participating countries to travel to the U.S. for business or pleasure for 90 days or less without first obtaining a visa.

Euro 2012 is one of the most challenging and complicated projects that Ukraine has undertaken since independence. It is not only one of the largest sporting events in Europe, but it is also an opportunity, if properly executed, that will provide Ukraine with tangible benefits for years to come.
Ukraine’s leadership publicly announced its interest in further integrating with the larger European community and the European Football Championship will go a long way in proving that Ukraine’s European future is a reality.
Ukraine is stated to host the championship jointly with Poland, which is already a member of the European Union, and many observers believe that if Ukraine successfully accomplishes its part of the Euro 2012 project, it will be a clear signal that Ukraine has also achieved European levels of management, economic development, and business- government relations.
Among the Chamber's 2008 Advocacy & Policy Activity Priorities the EURO 2012 Priority occupies an important place and among others issues includes the following areas: required legislation (concessions, leasing, land policy, etc.), infrastructure development, hotels / restaurants / retail, etc.
