Sea Commercial Port of lllichivsk
is determined by its key position at the cross-roads of main transport
routes between Europe and Asia, North and South, Central and Eastern industrially
developed regions of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and the shipping routes
running across the Mediterranean Sea into the Atlantic and Indian oceans.
At present the port has international
relationships with almost 100 countries of the world.
The port of Illichivsk is situated on
the North coast of the Black Sea and it's position is defined by the bearings:
Latitude - 46°19' North, Longitude - 30°41' East.
The port has:
facilities enabling to handle over 30,0 million tons of cargoes annually;
29 modern berths with total quay line
of 6000 m;
facilities which can provide simultaneous
storage of 1,5 million tons of cargoes;
total open storage area –575,000 sq.
m; warehouse area – 28,000 sq. m;
navigable depths:
- in outer roadstead – up to 21 m;
- in approach channel – 15 m;
- in port water area – 7,5 – 13 m;
railway infrastructure – 3 entrances for moving rail wagons into the port,
railway tracks up to 10 lines running into the territory, maximal possibility
to carry out wagon turnover up to 1500 wagons a day;
road infrastructure with advanced network
of internal highways, allowing to make entrance of motor transport through
three port checkpoints.
Multimodal Complex of the port has independent
entrances for rail wagons and motor transport.

food liquid cargoes, including vegetable oils, wine, molasses and others,
spirits, liquid chemical cargoes, oil and oil products, liquefied petroleum

cargoes, soya beans meal, chemical cargoes, sulphur, all kinds of ore
raw material, mineral and building cargoes etc.
