8 July 2009. NBU approved Koriakin as UBRD Chairman of the Board

The priority task of the new UBRD Chairman of the Board is to favour creation of a bank stimulating reconstruction and development of economy. Following the course of the state innovation policy UBRD in line with the State Innovation Finance and Credit Organization of Ukraine (SIFCOU) shall concentrate its efforts to provide complex services to the legal entities and to finance projects relating to reconstruction and development.

Ivan Koriakin has more than 14 years of professional experience in banking, in the period of 1995-1999 he was in charge of the program supporting small and medium size business development at the “Aval” and “Ukreximbank”.
Later, within 1999-2001 he acted as an expert for the TACIS project for reconstruction of "Ukrsotsbank"
For 5 years Ivan Koriakin was a head of the Citibank (Ukraine) department for corporate clients and in 2006-2008 he worked as a Chairman of the Board of SEB Bank.

The laborious task of making UBRD ready for the realization of set goals is waiting for us, - says Koriakin about the forthcoming tasks. It is imperative to undertake cardinal re-construction of the main directions of the bank activities, to solve accumulated problems from the past with the aim of getting ready to create favourable conditions for realization of investment projects of our clients. We are heading towards the given tasks following the bank’s slogan:
