High interest to the first international trade show and conference in Ukraine, RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy has confirmed its timeliness and topicality. In three days, the trade show has gathered 62 companies from Ukraine, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands and showed almost all thematic areas of the market of alternative energy. The event was visited by more than 3,000 persons.


Representatives of the state and branch structures, working in development of "green" energy subjects in Ukraine: V. Lugovsky, Deputy Director of Department of Scientific and Technical Maintenance and Power Efficiency of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine; V. Davy, President of the Association of Participants of the Market of Alternative Fuel and Energy of Ukraine; A. Konechenkov, Chairman of Ukrainian Wind Energy Association; V. Rebok, Partner of Arzinger law company, and the heads of Organizing Committee — G. Roehm, CEO of REECO, and V. Pekar, President of Euroindex Ltd. – took part in the official opening of the event and press conferences.


At press conference, Mr. Pekar showed to journalists, participants and visitors the award for posters “Created by Nature” designed for the RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy trade show and conference.The award was received in the 13th International Competition of Exhibition Posters — a figurine was created by outstanding Bulgarian sculptor Janko Nenoviy especially for the competition. Competition is annually held by UFI and Plovdiv International Fair. The rewarding ceremony of winners too place during the 76th annual Congress UFI, which was held on October 28-31 in Zagreb (Croatia).

The beginning of activity of European-Ukrainian Energy Agency was declared by Arzinger at the press conference of the RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy. The agency urged to unite representatives of policy, economy, science, suppliers of financial and consulting services from Europe and Ukraine and to become the central consulting partner in the field of energy law in Ukraine.

Despite the idea, that market of "green" energy of Ukraine is only at its initial stage of development, difficult economic situation in the country and declared epidemics of sharp virus diseases, RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy trade show and conference has successfully taken place as it was planned. Leading domestic and foreign companies — Aquadom, GЕКО-CENTER, GEO-NET Umweltconsulting, Global Technology, GRESA-GROUPS, Inmateh, Nature Fuel Osnabruecker Olmuhle, Quasar, ROTH VERKE GmbH, Special Technologies, Teresine, V.D.E. – Ukraine, VENTUREAL, Volhyn-Kalvis etc., have presented the latest technologies, innovative decisions and equipment in the sphere of solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, and heating pumps, cogeneration power plants, technologies and equipment for production of alternative motor fuel, solid biofuel, energy saving technologies in building.


For the first time in Ukraine at RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy the Netherlands-Ukrainian Sustainable Energy Platform NUSEP with assistance of the Ministry of Economics of the Netherlands has presented the Dutch Trade Mission of Energy Efficiency, where representatives of more then 10 companies from Netherlands took part. The co-organizer of the Mission was the State Agency EVD (Ministry of Economics of the Netherlands), IMC Organization Personnel Subsidy (the Netherlands) and official representative NUSEP in Ukraine Next Step Oekraїne.

Participants emphasize, “First pancake” was not a clod. The trade show was organized at European level; there were many visitors at booths, no time even for calculation of business cards, not mentioning lunch breaks. Prepared printing materials and souvenir production finished marvelously quickly, it was necessary to take additional sets regularly. The qualitative structure of visitors was also a good sign — adverse conditions in the country became deterrent for collectors of paper and that has made work at the booth more productive.

Simultaneously, together with the trade show, conferences, devoted to development of all segments of the market of "green" energy in the world and Ukraine, were held. Well-known domestic and international experts told about advantages of use of alternative and renewable energy sources, possibilities of attraction of additional financing of projects and innovative ideas from Austria, Germany and Georgia at:
• The International conference “Wind and Solar Energy, Heating Pumps”, with gold sponsor ACTIV SOLAR;
• The International conference "Biomass" which was held with support of Biomass scientific and technical centre;
• National conference "Biofuel" which was held with support of UkrBioEnergo Association.


In gratitude for participation and support organizers of the trade show awarded each participant with the memorable diploma and young plant symbolizing arising market of "green" energy of Ukraine. Carefully growing up the plant, companies will bring the contribution to embodiment of the slogan of the trade show: “Let us develop the market together!”
