What is the mode dial?
Make your selection according to the shooting condition.

: Full Auto mode

P

: Program Auto mode

A

: Aperture Priority Auto mode

S

: Shutter Priority Auto mode

M

: Manual mode

SCN

: Scene mode

: Movie mode

Turn the mode dial to select the shooting mode.
The mode selected (marked in red) will be displayed on the screen.

[Setting the exposure]
You can set the shutter speed in S mode and set the aperture value in A mode.
Press the  button (marked in red).

Press the  and  buttons (marked in red) to set the aperture value (or shutter speed).


Press the  and  buttons (marked in red) and set the exposure compensation.

Check the settings and press the OK/FUNC button (marked in red).
You can also continou to take the picture without pressing the OK/FUNC button.

You can set the aperture value and shutter speed (marked in red) in M mode.

Press the  button (marked in red).

Press the  and  buttons (marked in red) and set the aperture value.

Press the  and  buttons (marked in red) and set the shutter speed.

Check the settings and press the OK/FUNC button (marked in red).
