Using the direct button

Let's look at how to use the direct button.

Set the mode dial (marked in red) to , P, , , , SCENE or .

 

What is a direct button? This button lets you set functions directly.

  : Exposure Compensation

  : Macro

  : Flash

  : Self Timer

  : LCD Booster

 

Press the direct button (marked in red) to display the function setting menu.
Let's set the flash.
Press the  button (marked in red) repeatedly and select a seting.





Once you have determined the setting, press the OK/FUNC button (marked in red) to confirm.

 

Next, set the exposure compensation. Press the  button (marked in red).

You can compare the effect of the compensation value you selected on the monitor.
Press the  and  buttons and set the compensation value.
To set the exposure compensation to +, press the  button repeatedly.
To set the exposure compensation to -, press the  button repeatedly.

Once you have determined the compensation value, press the OK button (marked in red) to confirm.
The compensation value is displayed.
