Though many Kyivites will celebrate fifteen years of independence in the time honoured fashion of hitting Khrescahatyk and raising a glass or ten to the nations health there are still plenty of other things to do around town on this special day. President Yuschenko, admittedly not the most popular politician at present, will address the crowds on Maidan while those worried about the state of Ukraine’s soul can visit the prayer services which will be held in St. Sophia. |
