Guests included friends of the radio station and listeners who won the right to party all night thanks to entered on air competitions which were held during the ‘Big Hello’ slot on Europa FM. Six years ago Ukrainian footballer Sergiy Rebrov seemed to have the world at his feet. At Just twenty six years of age he was ninth all-time Champions League leading goalscorer with twenty eight strikes to his credit, and about to join London side Tottenham from Dynamo in a record-breaking transfer. Disaster followed as the player struggled in the English game and was eventually shipped out to Fenerbahce before returning last year to Kyiv where he was widely regarded as a shadow of his former self. This month sees Sergiy renew his acquiantance with football's premier competition, but few expect him to repeat the heroics of the Lobanovski years. Can Rebrov rediscover the golden touch? |

DECADENCE HOUSE On 19 August one of the most glamorous nightlife venues in Kyiv together with Nemiroff organized their first conceptual anti-glamour party. The party was new to A-list haunt Decadance and featured birch cocktails, gypsy dances and popular hits until the morning. Among the guests there were many VIPs, and most of them were satisfied with the results of the party with its original anti-dress code and fake-control in place of the more familiar face control! Directed by Anton Khomyakov the clip for ‘Without You’ is a suitably romantic affair, with Ivanna Melay and the North American actor showing plenty of on screen chemistry, while the luxury boat was itself more than enough to send the pulses of dyevuski around the country soaring. |

CRIMEA After sixty days of non-stop revelling, the ‘Zoryaniy Bereg’ festival finally came to an end 25 August with a concert headlined by Russian rockers Mumiy Trol. For two months the village of Orlovka near Sevastopol had been the focal point of the Ukrainian rock and pop scene, with young party people making the trip south to listen to a wide range of music and to take part in beach contests, shows, discos, swim in the sea, and eye up members of the opposite sex. |

The place was even more jam packed with beautiful people 10, 11, 12 August, when the Kyiv players teamed up with their Moscow compatriots for the shooting of a weekly show, which will be aired from 9 September on Inter. |

This was the fifty-fifth year the event has been held, and some 200,000 hyrivnas were spent on creating the fabulous floral arrangements, which will be on display to the public till 1 September.
