On August 13, at 12 a.m., the Ukrainian News agency PRESS CENTER is hosted a PRESS CONFERENCE about the tragic conflict in Kytaiv: a property dispute or a criminal offense?

Press conference participants:

• Oleksandr Danyliuk, victims' attorney;
• Oleksandr Kalashnikov, a person who lost his home illegally seized by representatives of the Kytaivskyi monastery;
• representatives of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences' Institute of Biological Protection of Plants, deprived of a number of non-movable assets squatted by monks from the said monastery, residents of the Kytaiv stow.

Press conference participants will expose the story about how did representatives of the Holy Trinity Monastery (Kytaivska solitude) for ten years were seizing land lots, properties, amenities and residential buildings on the territory adjacent to the monastery, legally owned by other physical and legal entities.

Journalists was be presented with documents, evidence, and also weapons members of the initiative group withdrew from the monk cells on August 8 during a force civil action to return the illegally seized residences. Law enforcers, present at the venue, left these articles not withdrawn without any valid ground. Members of the initiative group of the Kytaiv stow dwellers believe that such an escalation of conflict is a logical final of many years of the church willfulness, impunity, abomination. They are convinced that the Kytaivska solitude is an odious example of transformation of the friary "brethren" into criminal "hoods". At the press conference they will also call names of politicians and civil official who for a long time fronted this iniquity.
