At 11:00 am, June 30, the PRESS CENTER of the Ukrainian News agency was hosted a press conference entitled “The presentation of the project called “Civil Initiative to Protect Economic and Social Rights,” which is being implemented by the center of TTsK and the Civil society institute.

The presentation was allow the participants to get to know more about the tasks of the project , what is useful in the participation in this project for the rural areas of Ukraine and what are the conditions for the participation in the tender for the selection of districts-participants.

The participants of the press conference will publish the results of the research into existing techniques of the adherence to rights and interests of citizens during the planning of communities’ territories in rural areas.

Participants: Verkhovna Rada deputies, representatives of the Regional Development and Construction Ministry, State Land Resources Committee of Ukraine, scientific and research institutions, and Ukrainian civil organizations.

Note:

The project aims attraction of citizens to the planning of territories for rural communities.

The project is financed by the European Commission. It envisions holding of trainings and provision of consultations to rural communities.

The implementers of the project plan to provide financial support to local civil initiatives, and draft general layouts for at least three Ukrainian villages.

The project will be implemented in three districts in different regions of Ukraine.

A tender for the participation of rural districts in the project have already been announced.
