Round table “Protection of intellectual property in Internet”

On April 22, 2009 in frameworks of the Forum “Internet-Ukraine 2009” will take place the Round Table “Protection of intellectual property in Internet”.

Due to the fact that in Ukraine there is no clear normative-legal base of intellectual property protection, the problem of copyright protection becomes more and more urgent, especially in the Internet network. It seems that there is no reliable mechanism of copyright protection from the piracy intervention on this stage. Is it true? Or it is possible to fight against illegal use of your materials. Practice of disputes settling in intellectual property protection.   

Questions to discuss:

• Internet providers responsibility for copyright infringement.
• Legal implications of using unlicensed software.
• Problems of legal using of articles and photos.
• Examples of judicial practice of trails concerning the rights on intellectual property and trade marks, etc.
