Brief historical review

The company was founded in 1926.
Our activity is connected with the formation of energetic basis of the former Soviet Union. The implementation of GOERLO plan, extension of energetic basis of Ural regions during the period of Second World War, postwar restoration of the destroyed power supply system of the country, step by step development of innovative methods of erection and putting into operation of power equipment at heat plants and then at nuclear power plants let the company  UTEM take the leading position among the power building organizations. Started from the erection and adjustment of not big stem machines and boilers the enterprise today performs the erection and adjustment of the most complicated equipment of heat and power electric plants, power objects of the industrial enterprises, and compressed air stations of gas transmission pipelines.
OJSC UTEM is the highly  professional group of experts which following the traditions and the gained during many years experience performs the full cycle of “turn key” services in power engineering, has the powerful bases on the production of boiler and non-standard equipment, joints and details of pipelines and steel structures. 
The company contributed to the formation of power capacities in Ural during Great Patriotic War when thanks to the firstly developed and implemented large-block method of erection the boilers and turbines of Chelyabinsk TPP were put into operation in all-time short terms.
Starting from 1944 UTEM specialists started to restore the destroyed by the war power sypply system of Ukraine. Building works were developed and successfully performed.   The company constructed the residential apartments in the central part of Kiev as well as complex housing settlements   (for erectors and in Bucha). The special attention and considerable funds were given for training of the qualified staff who are the basis of recruitment of several thousand strong group of OJSC UTEM.
Specialists of the company provided the start of more than a half  of power capacities of Ukraine, including 14 of 19 reactor plants of NPPs were erected. The heat-erection and start-up-and-adjustment works were performed at Chernobyl, Rivne, Zaporizhzhya, Armyansk NPP, on the largest heat thermal power plants -  Krivorozhskaya, Burshtinskaya, Tripolska, Ladizinska, Saporizhska, Dobrotvorska, Berezovska HPP (Republic of Belarus), Moldova HPP (Republic of Moldova), HPP of Krivorozhstal’ and Azovstal’, Nikolaev alumina plant and other. Besides Kiev HPPs the company UTEM assembled Minsk, Nikolaev, Cherkassy, Odessa, Kamenets-Podolsk, Bboruysk HydroPP (Republic of Belarus), as well as Sevastopol’ HydroPP,  capacity of Novo-Tulsk metallurgic plant, Bezhits steelmaking plant, Voronezh mechanical plant and Smolensk  machine building plant.
Also the company UTEM took part in the erection of power and technological equipment of such Kiev plants as Bolshevik, Lenkuznitsa, Lepse, Ukrcabel. Great contribution was made by the company to the development of power objects of Kiev: Kiev HPP-1, HPP-2, HPP-3, HPP-4, HPP-5, HPP-6 were constructed and put into operation, boiler houses on residential communities Obolon, Vinogradar, Voskresenskiy, Teremki, Nikolska Borshchagovka, Novo-Belichi, Nivki, Minskiy.
UTEM experts took part in construction of power units in India, Mongolia, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Hungary, Cuba, Greece, Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, China and Germany (East).
