    USEFUL INFORMATION:
  • Order the transfer from the airport in advance as the common taxi fares are around $40.
  • Downtown apartments are mainly of de luxe class. Thus, if you want a cheaper apartment, please, start looking for one located in central areas.
  • The Kiev subway runs quite deep under ground and it usually needs time to get to the platform. In some of the stations it takes about 10 minutes to get down to the platform by the escalator. Therefore, we would recommend to use subway for distant trips or in rush-hours when the city is full of traffic jams.
  • Very few people speak English in Ukraine (with even fewer speaking German, French and Spanish). We advise to use a phrase-book.
  • Kiev is quite an ancient city. It is about 1'500 years old. We advice you to go sight-seeing or order excursions.
