Pukach's arrest looks like pre-election Yushchenko ploy
The July 21 arrest of ex-Interior Ministry general Oleksiy Pukach, a suspect in the 2000 murder of journalist Georgiy Gongadze, came on the same weekend that President Victor Yushchenko declared his re-election bid for the Jan. 17, 2010, presidential election.
