FC Shakhtar Donetsk tops the table in the UEFA Team Coefficients 2008/2009, with a total score of 29.3250 points.
According to the sports media, after Barcelona's win over England's Manchester United in the Champions League final, the Spanish team jumped to second position in the table, with a total score of 28.6625 points. Manchester United is third with 28.0000 points. Another English club, Chelsea, is fourth with 25.0000 points. Shakhtar's opponent in the UEFA Cup final Germany's Werder Bremen is fifth, with 24.5375 points.
Barcelona beat Manchester United 2-0 in the Champions League final in Rome on May 27. The Ukrainian team will now meet the Spanish club in a UEFA Super Cup match in Monaco at the end of August.
