Head of Ukraine's presidential secretariat Vira Ulianchenko sees the current deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Viktor Vakarash as her successor to the post of regional governor.

She said this in an interview with the Ukraina Moloda newspaper published on Saturday.

"We will propose Vakarash's candidacy to the Cabinet of Ministers, and will ask it to support him. This man is respected in the region as a professional, who is capable of teamwork, and there is a good team there," she said.

"I believe that to preserve positive tendencies in the region it would be advisable to support this candidate," she added.
