Zone of Business center "Business city"

Zone of Business center “Business city” includes:

• business center (building) for 25 500 working places
• sport center (building) for 75 000 visitors
• entertaining center (building) for 5 000 visitors
• hotel center (building) for 65 000 places
• trade-serving complex (building) for 25 000 visitors

Total area of a zone 750 000 sq.m


National complex “Expocenter of Ukraine” – is the largest in Ukraine, Central and Eastern Europe unique exhibition center, which architecture ensemble combines harmonically with the samples garden-park art, which according to the Assignment of the Ukrainian President will be transformed into the business-center with saving of the exhibition functions. Building of the business center “Business City” together with reconstruction of the National complex “Expocenter of Ukraine” allows create single multifunctional complex that widen, supplement and broaden the functions of the present institution and create single planning structure.

 At the territory of the “Business city” has been planned to create administration and office center, banks, sport and entertainment centers, hotels and service complex, with the total dimension about 45 thousand maximum simultaneous quantity of the employees and visitors, from which for the business institutions are about 50%.

 Kiev international business center (KIBC) “Business-city” – is one of most grandiose project of the Ukrainian government. Total area of the KIBC is – 75 ha, from which for the building -55 ha. The area for the KIBC is a part of the Expocenter territory (about 10 ha), and also is a part of the prospect Academic Zabolotnyi and Academic Glushkov territory.



The abovementioned territory is constructed partly in different period of time with different buildings, mainly sport building: ice stadium, hippodrome, covered riding hall, tennis court etc. The Complex “Business city” is formed along the main planning axis – Academic Glushkov prospect, important town highway, where has been planned new line of the underground passage. In the “Business -city” is foreseen five functional zones, which are the part of the planning district structure, which is designed.

I. Business center takes main place and is maximum closed to the active zone and transport service. It is consist of the offices, which united with zebra crossing, and also with administrative buildings complex along the Academic Glushkov prospect. This zone also consists of bank buildings, telecommunication center, forum and congress-hall, press-center etc.

II. Sport center is situated in the center of the “Business–city” with consideration of the reconstruction and re- equipment present covered riding-hall, ice stadium, tennis courts. In the center, which is designed, foreseen to locate multifunctional complex “Riding Hall” with sport halls of different setting, swimming-pool, courts, bowling –halls, fitness-club, extreme-club etc.

III. Entertainment  center is designed with consideration entertainment complex of the Expocenter of Ukraine and their location. In the entertainment center are foreseen theater building, concert hall, cinemas, video-halls, exhibition galleries, casino, playing machine halls, restaurants and bars.

IV. Hotel complex consists of six hotels with different dimensions and different levels: from 600 till 1200 places, correspondingly from 18 till 24 floors. Hotels are supplied with parking places and service and service complex. The hotel location has convenient availability to the “Business-city” objects and transport service objects.

V. Trade – service complex contains convenient organization of trade system the whole “Business-city”. In main active and pedestrian zones will have been designed set of different shops, bars, cafes. In addition, location of the shops and cafes in the pedestrian crossing- bridge is foreseen in the project. The whole complex of the “Business-city” buildings has convenient availability to the parking places and open parking, with taking into consideration the whole quantity of the people in the center. The people will be lifted with escalators to the pedestrian levels and crossing bridge from the ground level and also from the subway, which will have been built-in in the building and bridge.
