     About us

    Dear colleague!

I am honored to write to you on the behalf of the newly created Ukrainian scientists NGO “Ukrainian Scientific Club”. Our goal is to unite Ukrainian scientists for the promotion of the urgent necessity to reorganize scientific sphere in the country in such way that basic research will reach world class level and that entire system of research functioning, financing and management would work efficiently following world best examples and practices.

Lack of orientation on solid results caused impoverishment of the whole field, decline of research and teaching career attractiveness and critical mass loss of highly professional specialist’s stratum. Main goal of the “Club” is to promote changes. Even if political will appears, radical and progressive changes will not be possible without independent and qualified expertise, audit and modern reform concept. For that we need association of the highly professional and conscious scientists.

Who else can offer solution to the crisis? Who can provide objective information and recommendations on the following subjects?
    - What kind of educational and research institutions we need?
    - On which conditions best Ukrainian scientist abroad would return home?
    - Can Ukraine accompany developed countries in the field of scientific research or to lead the world in biomedical technologies or radio-physics?
    - What should be done by state and what we must do — professionals and patriots of this country?

Hopefully, by joining our efforts we will find answers to those questions.

I welcome you to collaboration for the revival and benefit of the Ukrainian Science.

If you are sharing our goals and vision, please give us opportunity to count on your voice. Fill the included questionnaire and send it back to us.

Thanks a lot for your time and concern.

I am waiting for your prompt response.

    Respectfully,

    Oleg Kryshtal
    USC President
