Kharkov - Airport (HRK)Kharkov is served by an international airport (HRK Osnova) which used to have about 200 flights a day, almost all of them being passenger flights. The Kharkiv Osnova International Airport was only recently granted international status. The airport itself is not big and is situated within the city boundaries, south from the city centre. Flights to Kiev and Moscow are available on a daily basis. There are regular flights to Vienna and Istanbul, and several other destinations. Charter flights are also available. The former largest carrier of the Kharkov Airport - Aeromost-Kharkov - is not serving any regular destinations as of 2007.
1. Aeromost Kharkov
The Aviation Company AEROMOST-KHARKOV was founded in June of 2002. It makes regular flights to Kyiv (8 flights per week to airport "Zhuljany"), Uzhgorod (2 flights), and Batumi (1 flight).
In the nearest future we plan to establish regular flights to Moscow (2 flights per week beginning from the 10th of Marth), and Bratislava (2 flights).
Currently, the fleet includes 3 planes: 1 - AN-24 planes and 2 - AN-140 plane. The volume of passenger traffic since the beginning of flight activity has exceeded 8 000 people. Additionally, the company performs charter flights. Upcoming are such cities as Vienna, Aleppo, Istanbul, Larnaka, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf.
The Aviation Company AEROMOST-KHARKOV is a member of IKAO with code AHW, the number of its operator certificate is 182 issued on 02.08.2002, it has a licence for “Provisioning of passenger transportation services by air” issued on 09.09.2002—09.09.2005, licence series is 142820.
2. AeroSvit
AeroSvit Airlines celebrated its ninth anniversary in October 2003. When we opened our doors in 1994, we were among the first Ukrainian airline companies to offer its passengers comfortable flights on modern Boeing aircrafts and provide them with high levels of service. By 2004 our fleet consisted of nine modern aircraft: A Boeing 737-200, a Boeing 737-300, three Boeing 737-400's, a Boeing 767-300ER and three Boeing 737-500's. Aerosvit Airlines Flight network covers eight Ukrainian cities and serves the most popular routes used for business and leisure purposes, such as vacations or visits to relatives. AeroSvit offers 40 destinations in 23 countries of the world. Every pilot also spends around 600 hours in the air annually. The company's technical staff goes through annual theoretical and practical trainings at Boeing (USA), Aeroplex (Hungary), and Olympic Airways (Greece). AeroSvit Airlines is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). All our passengers are insured with the leading insurance companies. In October 2001, special air safety regulations were put in force.
3. The aviation company "Wind Rose"
The aviation company Wind Rose is one of the largest charter agencies (charter brokers) in Ukraine. The company offer the complete system of services in the field of air transportations - from organization of charter flights to representative services for airlines in airports throughout the world. Company has agreements about the commercial use of aircrafts with the largest airlines of Ukraine, Russia & many other countries, all this allows us to organize charter flight in the shortest possible time with any type of the aircraft to any destination of the world. Flights on the route Kharkiv-Istanbul-Kharkiv will be operated 2 times a week on Mondays and Thursdays. The minimum fare flight there and back is 220 USD, excluding airport charges. Time follow the route in one direction - 2 hours.

Passport control rules
The foreigners can enter and stay in Ukraine only with the valid entry visa. The citizens from the countries where entry visa is not required can enter Ukraine with the national passport and a legalized invitation from Ukraine. You can get more detailed information in the information service of the Ukrainian council in your country.
The passports and identification cards of foreign countries are not valid documents for entering Ukraine.
The persons without citizenship living on the territory of Ukraine can travel abroad with the identity card to leave Ukraine and with entry visa to enter Ukraine.
The transit trip can be allowed only with the following documents: Ukrainian transit visa, the visa to the country of destination, travel tickets or other documents confirming the nature of your trip.
Transit visa does not allow its holder to stay in Ukraine; travel through Ukraine to the country of destination can not exceed 5 days for one or several entries. Transit visas are expedient when Ukraine is a transit country of your travel itinerary. Transit visa can not be extended on the territory of Ukraine.
If the foreigner has lost his passport he has to go to the embassy of his country in Ukraine and to get the necessary documents for leaving Ukraine.
The workers of the passport control desk issue the registration card to foreigners when they enter Ukraine. This card should be also presented to the authorities when leaving the country.
