History

The Bank was registered on May, 18, 1993 with the JSCB Antares.

During the whole period of its activities the Bank has provided for classical customer servicing, the customer base being gradually increased, new directions opened, Bank’s workers’ performance improved.

The most productive stage of Bank’s activities started in 2002 with new shareholders engaged. The Bank’s operation is based on the customer-oriented approach. In 2003 the Bank’s mission and development strategy was determined. There was taken a decision on changing the bank’s name to emphasize new priorities (in particular, specialisation in trade and design financing, cash administration).

According to the thesis on efficiency as a distinguishing feature of its activities, in early 2004 the JSCB Antares was one of the first in Ukraine to propose to tourism operators and agents a service providing guarantees as a confirmation of financial provision for covering the responsibility for losses which may be incurred to a tourist in case of insolvency of a tourism operator or an agent. For the period from January till March 2004  the Antares Bank has issued more than 500 guarantees for travelling companies, that is more than 30 % of companies that submitted the documents for re-licensing. As of October,2005, there were over 1000 such guarantees provided. In April 2004 the renewed bank took leading positions on the Ukrainian market in the segment of bank guarantees for tourism operators and agents.  

In 2004 there was introduced a system of customer Relationship Management (CRM).

In March 2005 there was registered OJSC Trade finance Bank "Kontrakt"  — a successor of the Antares bank. In June 2005 there was opened a new head office of the TF Bank "Kontrakt". The Bank moved to a beautiful building in one of the picturesque districts in the centre of Kyiv, next to Andreyevskiy Spusk. Since that time the Head Office of the Kontrakt Bank is located at 58, Vozdvyzhenska Str., 01025, Kyiv.

   In the middle of 2006 the priority directions of bank activity became factoring and leasing. Rates of growth of this directions increase constantly. For the second half-year of 2007 increase of number of factoring project in TF Bank Kontrakt (in fact increase of number of companies, to which Kontrakt rendered factoring service) was 200 percent in comparison with the first half-year.

Site http://www.factor-kontrakt.com/ contains information interesting for companies, which activity is performed with use of delay of settlements. Site includes general information on use of factoring for increase of current assets and specific proposals for various categories of participants of factoring, such as retailer, manufacturer etc.

In addition, since 2006 TF Bank Kontrakt has been developing other directions of legal entities financing, such as overdraft and various crediting programs actively.
