Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko believes that his personal mediation in the talks on the gas price will allow solving the existing problems in the Ukrainian-Russian gas talks.
President's press secretary Iryna Vannykova said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
"Dragging out of the payment for the received resources caused by the government's careless attitude has led to the excessive dragging out of the process of signing the contracts between Naftogaz and Gazprom," the press secretary said.
"The president is confident that the personal mediation of the head of state will allow solving the above-mentioned problem," Vannykova said.
