The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, on Thursday approved a law, which foresees approving living wage not by the law on the national budget, but a separate law.
Some 231 of 440 registered people’s deputies voted for amending article 4 of the law on living wage.
Accordingtotheamendments, the law on living wage should be approved every year by the submission of the Cabinet of Ministers before the draft law on the national budget is viewed.
The authors of the draft law are the deputies of the Regions Party faction: Vasyl Khara, Oleksandr Stoyan, and Yaroslav Sukhy.
