CJSC "LINIK" has considerably minimized the volumes of hazardous emissions — by 1,700 tons a year at the expense of improvement of the technological processes.

While making a speech at the Adam Smith conferences Energy Forum on October the 8th, Mr. Sergey Lizunov, TNK-BP Commerce President, has proposed to renew minor duties for import of certain oil products.

The Antimonopoly Committee permitted TNK-Avia to purchase 50% of Aviation fuel-filling company, working in the public utility company International airport Kiev. It will allow the Company to fill the aircrafts in the wing at the premises of the airport under reconstruction in Zhulyany.

The President of LLC TNK-BP Commerce Sergey Lizunov characterized the economy of oil refining industry as one of low profitability. He emphasized, “The profitability of Ukrainian refineries is less than 4%”.

The overhaul will continue for a month and a half, following the plan. In the course of overhaul there will be a detailed investigation of all the technological facilities of the enterprise and substitution of physically worn-out equipment.

Autumn in domestic market of oil products will not bring much peace. Two Western Ukrainian oil refiners are out of operation already, Kremenchuk oil refinery is working at the fourth part of its capacities. On September 15 Lisichansk oil refinery will stop its work for a month and a half due to planned overhaul.

Having imposed fines on everybody in the course of last two years — from oil refiners to retail traders, from gas traders to aircraft fuel traders — AMCU does not seem to be dropping its speed. The most demonstrative topic and a real surprise from this institution, turned out to be the market of diesel fuel, which became higher than the market of petrol.

At domestic gasoline stations drivers sometimes are forced to buy fuel, which instead of appropriate GOST components contains indigestible for automobile “stomach” components. It is natural that fraudsters’ aim is to produce more fuel and cheaper, while it has to be sold at a higher price, and unlike petrochemical enterprises, they do not worry what will happen to buyers automobile.

End of August prices at Ukrainian gas stations, finally noticed that crude prices decrease and started to fall also. In September they are expected to be 6,20—6,25 UAH per liter À-95.

Antimonopoly committee accuses Ukrainian oil products market that oil is too expensive in the world. 1 July AMCU imposed 500 k UAH fine on Lisichansk Refinery. CJSC “LINIK” is bewildered by AMC decision, they have not seen official document yet. 

Ukrainian fuel market continues to follow the tendencies of international trade sites, which currently gives no signals that crude price will go down. Government has already paid attention for oil products price increase.

AMCU continues harming its reputation. Aleksandr Melnichenko is a dignified follower of Aleksey Kostusev. This time excitement arose around the cases, initiated in March by the previous chairman, and mainly — abuse of monopoly position by LINIK and Ukrtatnafta.
