Dear Eugenia,   We had a wunderfull vacation in Ukraine and really like to come back next year. Our stay in the hostel Balaclava well organised. We were expected and very friendly wellcomed. We are greatfull to the staff in Balaclava, since they helped us very much. The laundry was done very professional and we were allowed to leave some bags for a week while we were hiking in the mountains.   Please pass our compliments to the staff!!!! I recently stayed at Malee Mayak in the Crimea. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The hostel was more a "home away from home" than a hostel. I encountered some difficulty with my bank in the U.S. and Roman at HI-Hostels Ukraine, along with Ludamilla from the hostel, where able to help me immensely. I thank all for there time and the great fun I had. I decided to spend an extra few days there as a result of the relaxation and friendly atmosphere. And to swim in The Black Sea some more. IYH Yaroslav has a good location in central Kyiv. It is clean and seems secure. The staff arevery helpful and friendly. It does however lack any kitchen or communal areas, but that's no great problem. Daniel Sprague 07.06.07
