Microsoft перестала распространять специальное обновление KB937287 для пользователей Vista. Обновление было призвано внести некоторые необходимые изменения в инсталлятор Vista, которые понадобятся для установки и удаления Service Pack 1 на всех версиях системы.
Однако сразу же после того, как корпорация начала распространять это обновление посредством Windows Update, начались проблемы. Некоторые пользователи сообщили, что после установки KB937287 были вынуждены выполнить форматирование жесткого диска и потеряли все данные на нем. При попытке восстановить систему при помощи функции System Restore на диске Vista, пользователи получили отказ с пояснением, что Vista была скачана из интернета, поэтому для нее нет диска с возможностью восстановления.
Некоторые пользователи жаловались, что Windows Update делает запрос на установку обновления уже после того, как они его установили.
После этих жалоб обновление перестало быть доступным через Windows Update до исправления всех ошибок.
