1.16. DSNG DVB/MPEG2 ENCODER/MODULATOR |
|
Encoder/ modulator is a device, that converts analog video and sounds into an elementary digital stream and transforms this stream in the phase-modulated signal, suitable for retransmitting through satellite transponder or cable network.
Coder is a basic element of this device; it determines quality of expandable digital signal. This element carries out the previous signal processing and allows realizing such front-rank methods of video processing as sound-suppressing, change of spatial permission, and adaptation of codec to sound-suppressing. A signal is encoded with providing of certain permanent quality of signal, but with a variable initial speed.
The second component part of device is modulator, it serves for transformation of digital information from impulsive in a phase (QPSK) for squaring, suitable for retransmitting through satellite transponder, cable network or ether transmitter. A standard value of initial frequency is 70 + 18 MHz.
Basic features of encoder/ modulator:
Real time MPEG-2 video / dual audio Encoder (Main Profile @ Main Level - 4:2:0)
Up to full D1 encoding resolution with up to 720 horizontal pixels
User configurable Encoders settings through RS232 port
Fixed rate DVB-S QPSK Modulator (Symbol rate 3.8MS/s) with 20% roll-off
RS232 remote control interface option
