To bring the program of transition to digital broadcasting into life Ukraine will need UAH 3 billion (about USD 600 million). This has been reported by the first deputy of director of State Department of Communication Alexander Baranov at the international forum "Digital broadcasting in Ukraine".

The National Communication Regulation Commission (NCRC) and Ukrainian Radio-Frequency Control have themselves carried out the analysis of militaries using 3G frequencies (UMTS) in several ranges from 1.9 to 2.1 GHz as for their use by the military and other special users in all regions of the country.
