Official Journal “Copyright and Related Rights” (Avtorske Pravo i Sumizhni Prava)
 
The Official Journal “Copyright and Related Rights” has been published from year 2002. It comes out at least twice a year as a single book of continuous pagination.
The journal has the following sections:
“Official information”;
“Information on copyright registration”;
“Information on registration of copyright agreements”;
“Information on registration of collective management organizations”;
“Indices” (to the section “Information on copyright registration”);
“Notices”.
 
Information Content:
 
1. In the journal section “Official information” there is published the following:
  • statutory acts of Ukraine in the field of copyright and related rights’ protection;
  • texts of international agreements, official documents of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), etc.
2. In the journal section “Information on copyright registration” there are published:
  • numbers of copyright registration certificates;
  • dates of copyright registration;
  • full name(s) and/or pseudonym(s) of an author (authors), or the note “anonymous”;
  • employer full name or long legal name;
  • copyright object, whereto a work belongs;
  • kind, long and brief title of a work (works);
  • source data for published works;
  • abstract.
The said materials are presented in keeping with upward numbering of copyright registration certificates.
3. In the journal section “Information on registration of copyright agreements” there are published:
  • full name(s) and/or pseudonym(s) of an author (authors) of a work;
  • kind, long and brief title of a work (works);
  • copyright object, whereto a work belongs;
  • agreement registration number;
  • agreement registration date;
  • type of agreement;
  • full name(s) of a natural person (persons) or full legal name(s) of a legal entity (entities), being the Parties to any agreement above.
The said materials are presented in keeping with upward decision numbering.
4. In the journal section “Information on registration of collective management organizations” there are published:
  • names of collective management organizations;
  • principal scope of collective management organization’s activity;
  • date of issuing the certificate of collective management organization’s registration and the number thereof.
The said materials are presented in keeping with upward numbering of certificates of collective management organizations’ registration.
5. In the journal section “Indices” there are published:
  • the numerical index of copyright registration certificates by copyright objects;
  • the alphabetical list of authors of works;
  • the alphabetical list of employers having author’s property rights to an employee’s invention.
6. The journal section “Notices” is intended for publishing notices of:
  • changes in surnames, first & patronymic names of an author (authors) of a work;
  • changes in any composite authors;
  • changes in surnames, first & patronymic names of natural persons or full legal names of legal entities being copyright holders as to the works in question;
  • invalidation of registration;
  • transfer (assignment) of property rights to a work;
  • changes in information on any transfer (assignment) of property rights to a work;
  • grant of any permit to use a work;
  • issue of a duplicate certificate of copyright registration;
  • corrections of apparent errors (grammatical and syntax errors, information inaccuracies and the like);
  • reorganization (liquidation) of collective management organizations;
  • issue of a duplicate certificate of any collective management organization’s registration;
  • deletion of any collective management organizations from the registry thereof.
The Official Journal “Copyright and Related Rights” is subject to free delivery under the Law of Ukraine “On Obligatory Copy of Documents” and the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No 608 of May 10, 2002 “On Delivery of Obligatory Copies of Documents”, as well as the Register of Free Delivery of Official Journal of the State Department of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine approved by the Chairman of the State Department on 24.04.2002.
