On February 19th, 2008 the press-conference dedicated to the Technological Forum: “Innovations for EURO 2012” took place in the Cabinet of Ministers’ Club. The journalists representing over 20 leading Ukrainian business press, news agencies and several TV-channels participated in it. 

Dr. Siegfied Russwurm, Siemens AG Managing Board member, Andrea Raffaseder, CEO Siemens Ukraine, Willi Ruttensteiner, Austrian Football Association representative, and Jitesse Arquissandas, technical director of the largest stadium in Portugal – Estadia da Luz, answered the questions of the journalists.

“Such large-scale events as EURO 2012 give the country a perfect chance to develop its infrastructure and solve a lot of urgent problems in various spheres. And it concerns not only the football matches’ organization; it’s also about building the assets and infrastructure that will operate for many years. Though to achieve these goals, the efforts of all structures related to EURO 2012 should be consolidated”, - Andrea Raffaseder, CEO Siemens Ukraine said. She noted that Siemens is completely adapted to the local market conditions, since it has been present in the region for more than 150 years, and the “Siemens Ukraine” company has been officially working in Kiev since 1997. 6 Siemens bureaus in the large cities, hosting the Championship, may also contribute to the success of the large-scale projects, which the company is involved in.
