The Tax Committee was formed in February, 1999 to act as a forum and lobby group for tax issues affecting members. Our overall aim is to "promote the reform and improved application of the taxation system in Ukraine, recognizing that a predictable, equitable and effective tax system is a significant factor both in the general facilitation of business and in the positive development of the Ukraine economy". A subsidiary goal is to facilitate information-sharing on tax issues.

After a mixture of attendees involved at the initial stages, we have now settled on a core group of around 25 "regulars" with a good cross-section from professional advisory firms and business entities.
