President optimistic about mission to Georgia

At Azerbaijani-Georgian border, before leaving for Tbilisi, President Victor Yushchenko talked to journalists.

In his brief interview President expressed assurance that the mission, he and his colleagues came to Georgia with, would be successful.

He also repeated that main objective of that mission is “to show that Georgia is not alone and that in our times policy of common sense is more important than policy of brute force”.

Speaking about coming negotiations President Yushchenko said that he expects prolific dialogue to take place in Tbilisi.

“Without a doubt we will reach conflict settlement format and direct the sides of conflict towards it. I have no doubt that the mission will be a success”, - he said.
