Ministry of Agrarian Policy raised 2006/07 MY 3 class wheat minimal price from UAH690 per MT up to UAH700 per MT

As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy Decree № 282 from Jun 7, 2006, Ministry has grown 3 class wheat minimal purchase price to UAH700 per MT for 2006/07 MY (Jul/06-Jun/07), up against UAH690 per MT in 2005/06 MY, reported Ukrainian News. As to Decree, Ministry has as well established wheat/rye maximal purchase prices. Decree stipulates 1 class soft wheat minimal purchase price as much as UAH850 per MT (maximal UAH945 per MT, VAT incl.); 2 class wheat minimal purchase price UAH800 per MT (maximal UAH890 per MT); 3 class wheat minimal purchase price UAH700 per MT (maximal UAH780 per MT); 4 class wheat minimal purchase price UAH610 per MT (maximal UAH680 per MT); 5 class wheat minimal purchase price UAH520 per MT (maximal UAH580 per MT); Group A 1 class rye minimal purchase price was fixed UAH540 per MT (maximal UAH600 per MT); 2 class rye minimal purchase price was set UAH500 per MT (maximal UAH555 per MT); As earlier reported, Ministry of Agrarian Policy had proposed to raise 2006/07 MY 3 class wheat minimal prices from UAH690 per MT up to UAH700 per MT. Cabinet had prolonged for 2006/07 MY prices State regulation for wheat, wheat/rye mixture, rye and sugar. End May 2005 Cabinet had introduced prices State regulation for a number of food products/approved methodics of minimal purchase prices determining for some prices State regulation objects. As to Cabinet decision, minimal purchase prices were to be calculated with taking into account food products subgroups/classes up to coefficient proportions which were to be determined by Ministry of Agrarian Policy considering corresponding markets forecasted conjuncture. Prices State regulation is stipulated by Law «About State Support of Agriculture». As to Law, Cabinet has right to establish prices State regulation for all/separate objects (with their full number to be officially promulgated not later 30 days after corresponding MY beginning). Minimal purchase prices are to be officially promulgated by Ministry of Agrarian Policy after Cabinet approves list of separate goods subject to prices State regulation.
