The issues on budget and anti-inflation measures are to be discussed during the meeting.

Yulia Tymoshenko told, if such amicable agreements are not signed after appeal to the Office of Prosecutor General the Government would settle this issue judicially. Moreover, the Prime Minister of Ukraine has commissioned the National Space Agency of Ukraine together with the Arsenal design office within two weeks to prepare proposals on concluding international order agreements and to hold by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs relative negotiations. On the instructions of the Prime Minister of Ukraine proposals on a government work for the current year are to be prepared within a week, which will be reflected in amendments to the State Budget.

According to the Prime Minister, in the nearest future the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will make a request to the Office of Public Prosecutor to speed up consideration of the case connected with the Arsenal Plant. If the Office of Public Prosecutor fails to respond, I will initiate a session of the NSDC for consideration of this issue,” Yulia Tymoshenko stated. Besides, she expressed concern over the absence of reaction from the SSU and SPF to negative tendencies which take place around their plant, in particular, concerning illegal lease of objects and lands of the enterprise: “We have succeeded to preserve the plant during the war and today we are losing it”.

Premier Yulia Tymoshenko thinks that her political force will be unable to change the Constitution in the nearest future, something that BYuT has been insisting on over the past weeks. “The Constitution needs to be changed. But you need 300 votes in parliament for this. Today, neither the power nor the opposition has 300 votes,” said Tymoshenko on TRK “Ukraina”...

“This isn’t a feeling, it’s going on. They’re in full swing. I spent half of today in the Prosecutor General’s Office,” said Tymoshenko. She once against spoke in defense of Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko, against whom the Prosecutor General has filed a criminal case. “Imagine a country in which the minister of internal affairs, who started raising serious criminal cases, exposing the layers of crime, ordered hits, has had a criminal case filed against him by the Prosecutor General because he somehow touched Chernovetsy the wrong way,” said Tymoshenko.

“We did everything that was necessary from our team. We couldn’t have done anything more for the people of Kyiv,” said Tymoshenko on TRK “Ukraina”. She also accented that BYuT “gave Kyiv the best that it had – Oleksandr Turchynov.” At the same time, Tymoshenko said that “out of 2.2 million Kyivites, only a bit more than 350,000 voted” for Leonid Chernovetsky. “It’s a shame that the capital of Ukraine will have such a mayor,” she said.

She explained that one of them is the National Security and Defense Council and the other is the Presidential Secretariat. The Premier added that recently over 40 anti-inflationary laws have been stopped.

“Such exchanges aren’t normal for politics, they shouldn’t exist. Why are anti-inflationary laws more important for me than the law on the Cabinet that expands the power of the President?” said the Premier, adding, “I ask one thing: don’t interfere. Let the government work calmly and according to plan.” At the same time, Yulia Tymoshenko expressed hope that “the President will sign the anti-inflationary laws that we passed.”

Answering the question on what they talked about driving from Boryspil in the same car, Yulia Tymoshenko said: “We talked about the budget.” “It was a very comfortable ride, and I’ll tell you that I now have hope that during this short trip we came to an agreement and the budget, which has been destroyed by the Constitutional Court because of political reasons, will be passed on Tuesday and the revenue side will be returned,” said Tymoshenko.

“There are accusations going around that Tymoshenko is looking for the perfect moment to slam the door and leave and find an excuse…I would like to tell those people who are saying this and this is simply their wish,” said Yulia Tymoshenko. “I will never allow myself to do this. We will continue to carry the responsibility that the government has,” she added. She also added that her government’s work is being hampered “they’re trying to lower its effectiveness” and this, in her opinion, is being influenced by “competition over the next presidential elections.”

“We are planning to improve this system of assessment which enables to increase the level of knowledge, which will make possible to only pass a testing, just to gradually shift from finals and entrance exams to external testing only,” Yulia Tymoshenko explained. According to her, respective draft laws will be submitted to the Parliament within the nearest time. Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko informed that a regular session of the Government will deal with a complex of draft laws and decisions pursuant to which an external testing as a method of knowledge assessment is proposed to render a legal status.

At this Yulia Tymoshenko informed she is planning Thursday together with Economics Minister to meet the President of Ukraine at the airport and hopes for an effective talk: “I hope for tomorrow’s meeting with the President of Ukraine, I hope for negotiations with the President in terms of settlement of the issue connected with deliberate destruction of Government’s authority, deliberate stoppage of normal work of the Government to be held.” Yulia Tymoshenko promised that in the aftermath of the meeting with the President she will draw respective conclusions and determine further stance of the led by her political force.
