The Kremenchug technical school of a railway transportation is based in 1878, as technical railway school (the Archival information of the Central State historical archive).
The technical school is located on a picturesque coast of Dnepr in the central part of Kremenchug - cities of kind traditions, industrial and cultural development, one of the powerful economic centres of Average Pridneprovye.
For the pre-revolutionary period by an educational institution it was prepared 1028 experts in a speciality "Locomotive draft ".
During the existence the educational institution some times changed the name and the status.

In 1907 the Kremenchug technical railway school is renamed into the Kremenchug technical school of a mechanical speciality, and since 1925 it(he) became the Kremenchug technical school. And only since 1931 technical school it was again renamed into technical school. Since the first days of the creation and up to the present the technical school was and remains especially technical railway educational institution which has passed a huge way of the becoming and improvement.
With 1941 on 1943 during Great Domestic war, the technical school worked in evacuation in city of Tambovs. With clearing Kremenchug of fascist aggressors the technical school comes back to native city and conducts a professional training on two specialities - "the Locomotive economy" and "the Carload economy".

Among graduates of technical school of pre-war and post-war time Heroes of Soviet Union of F.I.Marchenko and G.V.Prokopenko, Heroes of Socialist work Krivonos P.F., Kvartirniy V.I., Priemysh S.M., Danilenko K.I., Valjal'shchik N.S., 66 honourable railwaymen.

Today is a modern educational institution where vocational training 46 highly skilled teachers conduct, the master of inservice training, laboratorians. The contingent of students of day time and in absentia branches makes 1100 persons.

For 125 years of the existence the technical school has prepared over 17000 highly skilled experts for a railway transportation.
Now the technical school prepares for young experts for needs(requirements) of a railway transportation, and also other industrial enterprises of Ukraine.

Preparation of experts is carried out on the following specialities:

• 5.100503 - "Service of a rolling stock and special engineering of a railway transportation (locomotives)";
• 5.100503 - "Service of a rolling stock and special engineering of a railway transportation (cars)";
• 5.100504 - "Service of railway constructions and objects of travelling facilities".

The license volume of reception on each speciality makes 60 persons.

Training is carried out in day time and in absentia forms of training on commercial and budgetary bases.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: incomplete higher education
QUALIFICATION: technician-electromechanics
The young expert in qualification technician-electromechanics prepares for work on maintenance service, repair and operation of a rolling stock of railways in structural divisions on posts: the master carload depot; the master of washing-steam stations; the master depot on repair of containers; the master of station of maintenance service of cars; the master of station of maintenance service, operating repair and equipment of carriages; the chief of a passenger train; the dispatcher carload depot; mechanics of a refrigerator train; the operator carload depot; the operator of station of maintenance service of cars; train electromechanics; the attendant on depot; technician-technologist; technician-defectoscopist; technician of measuring instrument.

SPECIALITY: 5.100503 - "Service of a rolling stock and special engineering of a railway transportation" (locomotives)
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: incomplete higher educations
QUALIFICATION: technician - electromechanics
The young specialist in qualification technician-electromechanics prepares for work on maintenance service, repair and operation of a traction rolling stock of railways in structural units on posts: the master locomotive depot; the master electrodepot; the dispatcher locomotive depot; technician-technologist; technician-defectoscopist; technician - a measuring instrument; òåõíèê - ðàçøèôðîâùèê ñêîðîñòåìåðíûõ tapes; machinist-instructor; machinist of electric locomotive, a diesel locomotive, an electrotrain, a diesel engine-train; the machinist assistant an electric locomotive, a diesel locomotive, an electrotrain, a diesel engine - trains.

SPECIALITY: 5.100504 - "Service of railway constructions and objects of travelling facilities "
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: incomplete higher education
QUALIFICATION: railway technician
The young expert in qualification railway technician prepares for work on maintenance service and repair of a way in structural units on posts: the master of a way; the master of travelling machine station; the master of defectoscopy shop; the technician of a track; technician a neighbourhood; technician distances of a way; technician measuring instruments of the car; mechanics defectoscopy carriages; the operator defectoscopy carriages; the attendant on crossing; the adjuster of a way.

Persons whom the railway engineering and engineering - electromechanics have received a professional degree of the young specialist, may continue training in higher educational institutions III, IV levels of accreditation (with the reduced term of training) or to be included directly, in labour activity at the enterprises of railways, in the organizations and establishments with different patterns of ownership.
In the structure the educational institution has 3 branches and 8 cyclic commissions which carry out the organization of teaching and educational process according to the Law of Ukraine " About higher education ", State standards of formation(education) and other acts of Ukraine. Realization of educational activity is connected to granting higher education at a level of qualifying requirements to the young expert in licenses of the Ministry of Education and a science of Ukraine.
The technical school has 4 practice-laboratory buildings in which it is placed 29 studies and 16 laboratories. In territory of technical school the range of travelling facilities, and also cars - simulators is located. Educational workshops have 6 branches. In technical school - 2 sports halls, a shooting shooting gallery, a dining room on 60 places. The assembly hall contains 200 students.
In technical school works two computer classes in which it is established 30 modern computers, the computer base in technical school constantly extends.
Effectively "the comprehensive Plan of educational-methodical and educational work of technical school" operates. The educational area on one student makes 11,2 sq.m.
Practical preparation of the future experts is conducted at the enterprises of railways of Ukraine.
The library of technical school with a reading room on 50 places totals book fund at a rate of more 45 thousand copies special, technical, socioeconomic and fiction.
All students of technical school are provided with a hostel. In free from employment(occupations) time, students open the abilities in subject circles, sports ñåêöèÿõ, employment(occupations) by amateur performances.
At technical school there are medical aid station, a study of the dentist which serve students and workers of technical school. Improvement of students and workers of technical school is carried out in a boarding house of railwaymen in city of Evpatoria, sanatorium "Mirgorod" and houses of rest of Ukraine.
Students and workers of technical school have the right to annual free-of-charge travel on a railway transportation.

Conditions of reception in technical school:

The entrant submits to a selection committee the application on receipt to which are applied:
• The document on base general educational average or full secondary education (the original or its copy certified when due hereunder);
• The medical inquiry of the form 086;
• The inquiry on inoculations;
• Six color photos in the size 3x4 sm;
• The passport or the certificate on birth;
• The identity card or ïðèïèñíîå the certificate;
• Documents which entitle to privileges;
• Identification code.

Term of reception of documents on the day time form of training from April, 20 till July, 22; on in absentia - from April, 20 till August, 9. .
